I don’t have the Mjlonir2 any longer.
I think I’m having a hard time understanding how any of that relates to the Lyr 3 or how the MJ2 is better than the Lyr?

The Sophia is definitely my preferred tube for the Lyr. It’s just so clean, clear and articulate. Excellent extension in both directions, and a pleasant soundstage that’s not exaggerated but open and airy.
I tend towards more neutral sounds, but this just does such a good job at displaying detail while not having any harsh, analytical sounds. It just sounds “right”.

Oh, I’m very content. 
I imagine I’d have to spend a fair amount more to get “better” sound. I’m sure I’ll explore that in the future, but as I stated earlier, I’m very content.
Now for a great DAC…

What DACs have you looked at? Budget?
I’ve actually already picked one out and am saving for it. The Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro. I’ve already purchased the X-SPDIF 2 to run it via I2S. Hopefully it won’t be much longer now.

That’s a beautiful tube. It sounds like you’ve achieved a killer combo of great sound and great looks. What more could anyone ask for.
Luckily for my wallet, I’m happy with my Treasure Globe, or else I’d be ordering one of those blue wonders right now.

@pennstac picked one up not too long ago. If I didn’t have my heart set on the Sophia (I actually purchased before I bought the amp 
), I definitely would’ve gone for a globe.

Yes, I got mine right after @pennstac, and with his guidance. You’re all lucky I hadn’t seen the Sophia yet because that saved you from seeing 20 posts from me trying to decide between the 2 of them. “But the globe blah blah blah… or blue mmmmmmm…” posted 20 times.
