I’m just glad I’m retired and don’t have to manage through all of these Covid restrictions. I do feel for all the employees and management staff having to work it by day.

in the past years, we signed cards … tons of x-mas cards - just for those who were not able to visit our parties
but this time, it would be a bad idea to pass them over to the next co-worker for signing

Anybody watch the expanse new season yet? First episode is great! Much better than last season as I was a tad disappointed in where they took the characters individually in it. This season they are revamping some good storylines and are going into Amos backstory!! About to sit down and watch the other two episodes that were dropped at the same time

I’m trying to wait another week to build up at least a small backlog of episodes, but we’ll see how long I can hold out. Judging by the fact that I just ordered a Jot 2 10 minutes after reading the announcement, I apparently have no self discipline.
I’m a big fan of Bobbie Draper and I wasn’t happy with what they did with her character in the previous season.

My other rig (different sensory modality).
I got no issues buying tubes as I long ago got used to buying glass.
I post to make people aware of a rare astronomical event: the Saturn-Jupiter conjunction. If you are equipped with astro gear, and got clear skies, Dec 21st is the date where the planets will be most tightly associated in the sky. Depending upon the equipment, both planets could be in the field of view of the eyepiece. They will remain close for a short time after; this is a once every 500 year thing.
Have to look just after sunset and its pretty low in the SW sky, at least from where I live. Naked eye at that time will have two “stars” down and to the right of the crescent moon: these are Saturn and Jupiter. They should be pretty bright with one a bit bigger than the other, neither should “twinkle”. I saw it a couple of days ago with my daughter using the above equipment, tremendous sight. Saturn and its rings slightly tilted and Jupiter with 4 moons easily visible, both hanging out.
Clear skies to all who venture out to see this.

Easily. It doesnt take much of a scope to be able to see them.
