What is the Best Non-IEM Portable Headphone

Glad you like them! The Yaxi pads do change the sound just a tiny bit for the better, and they are more comfortable.

For cheap and easy Bluetooth, fiio makes the BTR line.

Too bad they don’t make purple pads. I remember thinking that when I ordered. Hehe.

Maybe with enough dye you can make the yellow pads purple?

Thank you @ProfFalkin and @TylersEclectic for the options!!

Hahah I know I actually checked them out Online before I bought mine but the reviews were really bad saying spotty sound Quality as well as no lifetime warranty from Koss. 1 year only and most of the reviews said that’s when the Bluetooth connectivity started failing… but for sure would have been a cheaper route then buying a device to plug into.

That’s disappointing to hear about the bad reviews. Oh well.

Yeah that’s exactly what I thought too, I’m sure maybe with version two they will solve some of those issues…I kinda like the idea of being able to use the headphones plugged in as well and not always listening via Bluetooth, and if I remember correctly you can only use Bluetooth so once it’s done it’s done. Granted at $60 bucks it’s not a huge investment but I definitely like being able to plug into maybe a dragonfly or other equipment. There are a lot of positive reviews too but lots of critical ones that pointed out some issues that might be problematic. Who knows I might give it a listen for Schiits and giggles.

I have been super happy, with my Sony MDR-1A. They have a version 2 out now, but I prefer the originals. These have a well balanced and musical sound.
