I’ve been listening to this album quite frequently and see no issue or anything to be ashamed of. It’s a great album!
I was sad when I found out about his passing. Saw them at a club show years ago along with Common, awesome experience. One of the most underrated acts in hip hop.
It truly is a devastating loss. Out of all the bands I’ve seen live, the Roots are the ones I’ve seen the most and they are still at the top of my list in terms of live performance skills and musicianship. My very first show I saw was at the Fillmore in San Francisco when they were touring for Things Fall Apart. That show changed my life. I’m sad that by then Malik was no longer touring with them. His presence was perhaps not as bombastic as Thought’s was on their albums but he was very much a part of the glue that defined their sound, especially on their early albums.
2020 blows man.
All in jest. Most of this album was co-written by Aaron Dessner, and the National (and Bon Iver) are one of my fave bands.
I guess kind of a folk rock sound? Really nice with just enough going on to keep you interested and occasionally surprise you. Glad I came across it.
Love me a bit of Supertramp.
Just finishing this one up.
I can really relate to The Logical Song. I’m going to check the rest of their stuff out.

Just discovered jazz guitarist Pat Metheny today and have been listening to his music while working from home. Fantastic so far.
This is off topic, but I can’t think of Supertramp without thinking of the awesome cover version of “Goodbye Stranger” from the Office. I give you “Goodbye Toby” performed by the incomparable Michael Scott:
Glass Animals best showing yet.

Currently crushing some b-roll filming for two reviews coming up to this!
Ditto. It has been on repeat since its release. They really fulfill my heavier side cravings.
Way back when CD’s were invented there was a bunch of guys who called them Flim and the BB’s…and Nuance JIm Salk knew Flim! He tells an interesting story about Flim and the early days of digital music…
This came up in rotation this am listening with the HEDDS…and LYR 3…
Big Notes, “Bergland”, Flim & the BB’s…
