This is a really nice post. Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry for your loss but is nice to see that you can take positive memories from it too.
The whole past week I was listening to Ramstein while doing house work at my backyard. Very energetic!
Music that accompanied me this week and that I will enjoy during my one and only monthly weekend at home:
I’m having my one and only weekend at home per month.
Listening to a lot of Mika Vainio works without specific contest for my studies.
This album is simply insane.
Couldn’t find her on Qobuz.
That’s weird. Maybe Decca does not have an agreement with Qobuz? You can find her on YouTube, but not great sound quality obviously…but you will get the idea of her singing. This specific recording is harder to find, not available yet on Amazon or anywhere i can find…
Here’s another good example which is more readily available, maybe even on Qobuz:
Wow-I hear what you mean. Her voice is an instrument. I was awestruck when listening to the section with the choir. The control it must take when singing those “runs”!
I found her on Qubuz. I was searching on the BluOs app instead of the native Qubuz app. Will give her a longer listen later today.
Have been listening to Eric Clapton’s Crossroads 2019. Was tooling along just enjoying the music when TTB started in on the late Gregg Allman’s “Going Going Gone” and suddenly had trouble seeing the keyboard. Such a beautiful but sad song written by a man who knew the end was near.
This one is really sexy! Love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6askJWfIQ04

All. I’m new to the Headforum forum. I just found all of these experiences/recommendations. I’m going to be a very busy boy!
I hope you’ll enjoy! Being Bandcamp Friday I bought everything available form Mika Vainio and Christina Kubisch. I’ll end listening for 2025 I suppose
This showed up yesterday, signed by the man himself!
Of course I’ve been streaming it on Tidal since it was released a couple of weeks ago, but I like to support his website.
