Its actually the Burl, but has a dark stain/finish on it. They are B-Stock, few little finish blemishes, but otherwise good.

Suede pads? Very nice.
Came with Leathers and Suede Universe.
I already had a pair of Suede Universe broken in from when I had the Verite, so I’ve put them on. Comfy.
Suede strap too.

Only thing that annoys me about ZMF, is the Suede Pads are the most comfortable, but the Leathers sound the best. And Hybrid’s not quite there in either sense. For me.

I feel the same. The comfort of ZMF Suede is substantially better than Lambskin, but it slows the sound down too much. Lambskin demonstrates what drivers are capable of (and the euphonic qualities as well).

I’m in the same ballpark. I’d love suede pads for the comfort but wouldn’t dig what they would do to the sound. Unless I tube tuned my amp to compensate but that’s a bit over the top… well…

Toe tapping but not Verite level of SQ. Like them though!
In 2 days from now I’ll have a Cayin IHA-6 and on loan, a Violectric V281 to try them on. Clean and lean vs big and warm. The show down.

Yeah, tubes can add euphonics, but they won’t replace the loss of speed, and how the Suede affects decay.
But that comfort…It’s a tough one!

Cheap stuff:
- Long live to the SE-215: this one is to replace my first set bought 8 years ago. Had to retire it since I was beginning to feel some sharp edges annoying me while running (plastic shell was cracking). It was still in working conditions though;
- D03K: swimming against the stream here. A handy 20 bucks tool to have around if needed.

I really like the posts where there are pictures, I think it is a lot more interesting to see the products. But… please leave a small comment about what it is; I am into IEM’s but don’t know the names of all of them and some are new to amps and don’t know all etc.
