So the Felix is powerful enough for Verite and Arya? I wasn’t impressed with the power specs they had on the website. I guess I’m use to big amps.

Easily. It’s an OTL amp, so power works differently. They’re voltage aplifiers, and limited by current. Thus load impedance doesn’t affect the amp’s power output like it does with solid-states. That 250mW power spec is the minimum amount of power you’ll have available between 32-600 ohm loads. For my HD 660S, I don’t think I’ve gone past 10 o’clock on the volume knob yet. Empyrean takes up to 12 o’clock before it starts to get uncomfortably loud.

That explains why my WA33 is just labeled at 10 watts. When I asked Woo what the power was at 50 ohms they just told me music is dynamic and left me wondering. thanks for the info. So being it’s different what would be a pretend power that it puts out if you had to guess?

Afaik, the Euforia has enough power available for anything except for the exceptionally hungry headphones like the AB-1266, Susvara’s etc.

So when someone use schiit Jot R to power an Abyss headphone for example is it same principle?

The Jot R is built to drive RAAL’s Ribbon drivers, I have no idea if there is a way to drive normal headphones with it effectively.

Someone on this forum has and maybe still does. Explanation was the high current the Jot R puts out works for hard to drive headphones.

Do not use the JotR for anything other than the Raal.
Let’s be clear. If you have other kinds of headphones, this amp isn’t for you. This amp was designed for one kind of headphones only: the Raal/Requisite ribbon headphones. Delivering up to 13A (amps…yes, amps) per channel into the Raal’s extremely low impedance load, and including the baffle compensation needed for the SR1a, the Jotunheim R is completely unique.

Guys, seriously. Stop it. They won’t even plug into the Jotunheim R. It uses a MALE 4-pin XLR connector. Not female, like every other balanced headphone uses. This is specifically because it’s designed for the Raal/Requisite headphones only.
