What's in the box!

Hahaha, they’re clean now!

Which actually helps a lot with the comfort.

If it’s a Verite and yours to own, those hd800S are going to be short lived haha.

BHC+SB prep begins.

Some upgraded tools and a practice solder kit to improve the skills before the amp build.

Thanks to @hazi59 and @lost33 for pointing me in the right direction.

I don’t know about fun, yet. I’m ok with the paint and wood working. The soldering has me worried but I’ll be ready after the practice.

yeah… soldering was my biggest hurdle… you eventually get the hang of it pretty quick and it just starts moving along smoothly… I just wish I did the practice before… my build would have looked a lot nicer ha!

I’ll also add that safety will be important when you get to the point where you plug it in.

Loose parts are mostly harmless with the potential exception of capacitors which can retain a charge.

If you will need to make multi meter tests when powered on be sure you understand your tools, how to avoid accidentally touching things, etc.

Got these Nio’s from headphones.com

Thanks to @taronlissimore for his advice, and to all of you who wrote comments and reviews. IEM shopping is overwhelming and your posts really helped me figure out that these had the sound signature I was looking for.

Awesome!! Don’t forget about the Clairvoyance , I’m waiting for that to make mind vs the Monarch.

Got a used pair of AT DSR7BT. I wanted something better than the SR30BT for listening to music over Bluetooth. Not the best battery time (15h) and no USB-C, but a good value none the less for €90.

Nice! I actually quite liked the ATH-DSR9BT and @andrew and I gave a pair to our Dad for his birthday. It was a shame they got discontinued so fast as I thought they were actually a pretty nice two headphones for people that wanted the convenience of bluetooth with good sound still.

The charging port is a pain though. That wold be my point of advice, don’t lose the USB cable that comes with it because finding another one that fits the recessed slot is impossible. We ended up having to shave some down ourselves to make them fit.

I owned the MSR7 a few years ago, even had the MSR7SE for a while, and I believe the DSR7BT is more or less the same headphone with BT added. I quite liked the MSR7, so for pure audio quality I thought it was worth giving it a shot.

I put on the Yaxi ST2 pads and it improved the soundstage a bit. If anyone needs replacement pads for any version of the MSR7 I would recommend these pads.

Thanks for the heads up on the cable. I’ll make sure to keep it around. Just give me a sec to find it first… I’m sure it’s here somewhere…
