whoa knob!
I feel really sorry for your postman. Though he must be kept in great shape. Great new toy by the way. And as @antdroid says ‘what a knob’
Could borrow Feliks Audio Euforia to evaluate for a couple of weeks.
It’s cute (desktop-friendly!) and sleek! Not to mention gorgeous looking psvane gold cv181-tii matched tubes.
So far it doesn’t seem to work well with Verite, but sounds seductive with Auteur. Also surprisingly dead silent even when volume knob maxed.
More impression to come later.
PRETTY TUBES! Nice!
I ain’t done this before.
When I got it set up, my better half, Barbara, laughed and pointed at the tube, saying it looked “old fashioned”.
Vidar??? Are you getting a new over ear or is this for speakers?
Congrats! Bring them to work so I can demo at the restaurant. I’m sure they’ll be ok if we suck their power
Welcome to the club! I bet your next movement is to upgrade dac
25% joke!
He’s been far too quiet since getting them …
These are brain breaking lol…
Super fun to listen to, I’m still just wanting to listen…I kind of want to play a game or two with them lol…
Congratulations.
Hmm…got some demo units in…
What could they be?
I know @Torq and @taronlissimore would be interested in this one…
Also this one isn’t too shabby either…
That empy looks niiiice.
It sounds pretty great too! But now time for bed…long day tomorrow. Luckily no major plans for the weekend so I’m going to try and get some solid listening time with them.
Initially used balanced with the A&K SR15 which handled them just fine. They are an interesting listen for sure. Might take them into work tomorrow and work in one of our concentration rooms and use these so I don’t disturb anyone.
Also, I really like the cable, it is the copper balanced model, and it feels fantastic!
How much sound does it leak out? y’know, for office reasons.
Not horrible, but they are open back…but I was surprised how little they leaked at lower volume.
A couple of cheap but necessary (ok, maybe not necessary) items have arrived this week.
First to arrive was the XLR4 to 2.5mm adapter from (Mass)drop, meaning I can now use IEMs with the P20 balanced output. Not sure how much use it will get but it is always good to have the option…
Next in was the tubes I ordered last week for the P20 (finally). I have a (silly maybe?) question about these… They have a small paper sticker on each tube to identify them (as they are matched). I am guessing I should remove this before using them or does it not matter?
Finally, I had a 20$ coupon for (Mass)drop that expired on the 18th and as I have read so much praise for them, I thought I would see what all the noise is about:
