More audio gear should come with snacks.

We could make an audiophile version of “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon”! We’ve all bought/sold each others’ stuff so much, we can probably dig through and find out how many fellow forum members’ houses we’ve “been in” through our gear

Yeah cause that’s all you’ll be eating after purchasing such audio gear! :joy:

Sweetwater always include an assortment of candy which is pretty cool of them.

The hardcore community seems pretty small. I say this because Drop has sold 126.3K HD-6XX, but just 10.6K THX AAA 789 amps and mere 3.6K Elex. The 6XX became a mainstream hit, while the 789 was hyped beyond belief for 6+ months.

Do just a relative handful of people worldwide spend “gobs of money” on headphones? Maybe we only need 3 degrees of separation?

The last invoice number I got from schiit was in the 270,000 range.

Time to listen to some WEEB TUNES

I think that’s generally true. If you just follow the used market, you can pick up the cheaper Schiit (pun intended) left and right. However, if you start looking at stuff like high-end tube amps, Chord TT2 / DAVE, etc, they are few an far between. For example, I obsessively check here, US Audio Mart, and head-fi classifieds, and I don’t think I’ve seen a Woo WA5 since I bought mine over 6 months ago. You might get a DAVE every month or so. We’re a relatively small group of nutcases…

Keith Monks record cleaning machines all come with a… thing… from the UK. It’s some taffy of sorts from his town. I saw it when i got my RCM and was confused as heck. Didn’t know if it was some odd dry cleaning agent…

I say this as my province sinks in to the Covid abyss! Good treble response provides a boost to your immune system.

Thanks @TylersEclectic for sending it up. Thought it might have disappeared into your clutches forever.

Been using this all day with the RAD-0 on Low Z. Absolutely slams. Can’t put the RAD-0 down!

At least when you decided to put them down, gravity will assist you very much.

Maybe I need to train my neck more.

Luckily since its my favourite headphone I made the choice early on that my neck would have to give out before I stopped listening. My neck has cooperated and has become trunklike to accommodate my listening needs.

What’s with the scratch? Did someone key the amp out of jealousy?

Wonder if people who’s favourite headphone is the 1266 eventually get square heads.

I tried a pair yesterday.

I don’t care how good it sounds, can’t get into it.

It’s like if the worlds best TV, being 5% better than the next best, half the price TV, was only good if you sat exactly 6.35 feet from it on a 3.27 degree angle off the main axis. And all other viewing positions kind of sucked.

Get it just right, sounds great. Move too far from that spot, boomy.

Unfortunately customs didn’t seem to believe it was an amp. Looks like they tried to open it up and then screwed the front too tight causing the plate to bend and wood to break

Luckily Headphones.com has a very generous return policy. You should call them.
