Thank you very much for your thoughts. I really is an interesting concept. I shall be watching the market to see if others also take it up. Although it seems like recently they are all searching for some magical formula or combination of driver numbers or type in order to forge ahead. Interesting times.
@TylersEclectic purple alert!
I have these cables… they are delectable!
I was reading about them in my search for info about good IEM, also the S8 from moondrop as well. Some people mention the Audiosense T800 as a good one in the $300 price range.
I’ll be waiting for your impressions on the Blessing 2.
Where did you get the cable from?
aliexpress. it’s a kinboofi 16 core cable. You may be able to find it on amazon as well, though may not come in as many color options.
Scooped these on Audiogon, sealed for less than $3500.
Straight out of the box, the sound is…WOW. Super natural sounding cans. I’m impressed! And this is from a rather “underpowered” Phonitor X (at least for these cans from what I read on various forums although it doesn’t feel that way).
Ah…and HifiMan seem to have improved the build quality significantly from the early sets…I know, it’s still ridiculous to be writing comments like this for a $6k MSRP set of headphones. Back to listening…
$3500 for a sealed pair? That sounds like the HP deal of the decade.
Nice!
Yes sir…if you’re patient enough, you can find great deals there and most sellers are willing to offer further discounts.
Blame it on @Torq and thanks @TylersEclectic for the tip - managed to scoop the 15% discount. Stupid fast shipping and impressive service from MusicTeck.
Damn! I don’t get mine until tomorrow! amazing what being half a nation closer to shipper can do! lol
what’s your first impression?
On the third song with them (with comply tips, the silicone ones reduced the bass significantly) on the SP2000… in a nutshell they remind me of the U12t with a more expanded stage, more refined and a tad clearer highs, more airy and with that sweet punchy dynamic driver bass. To my ears, up to now, the Fourté are still superior (specially on stage, resolution, detail retrieval and bass texture). But this can be the U12t killers at this asking price. I can see you ditching the U12t altogether for these.
Edit/Addition: These have indeed a very “holographic” presentation. About to do some A/B testing vs U12t, I won’t bother including the Fourté in this comparison because I find them on a different level and I much prefer them - I very much enjoy the tuning on them.
Edit2: further impressions will be posted on the dedicated MEST thread.
We need a pic of it glowing in the darkness!!
Lovely. You lucky luck man you. Enjoy.
Woot woot! Welcome to the MEST club…awaiting your impressions…
Too Obvious
Enough branding already! You all know what these look like.
I bought them from Headphones.com, and received outstanding personal service from @taronlissimore. Really fast shipping too. Thank you again!
Following the sudden death of my HE-560s last weekend, I wanted something for everyday use. My Elex are way too intense for long listening sessions, and I’ve demoed the Clear previously.
The Elex will be up for sale.
