CanJam NYC 2020

I just switched back to the SR1A from the HD800(SDR) and Verite Open that I was A/B’ng and wow… The SR1A is just king in this realm… it is, just a ridiculous experience…I’m listening with the Bifrost2 and JotunhIemR and it is a JOY!

I’m now fairly deep into some booze though… sipping on some smokey whiskey with another White Russian sitting in the wings for my final night-cap (whiskey is Lagavulin 16, aka distilled campfire party lol)

I really liked your impressions…damn, I’m wishing I pushed harder to convince the wife to let me fly out there this weekend =( but, happy wife, happy life

Why do you think I had only the morning?!?!:face_with_raised_eyebrow: I also find out about the show to latte to do some changes in the weekend.
SR1a is like nothing else, really if i could use them on different situations I’ll be saving to buy them already… who know if I win the lottery !!

This was the first whisky I was able to drink this January when on vacation. I’m really bad with anything over 13 or 15 degrees of alcohol.

Now…this one with pancakes for breakfast is an excellent bourbon

My man… I’ll have to peep that Crown maple syrup! never seen that before… I’ll have to see if any of the local stores carry it

That floored me. The differences are stark. I assume the room and noise did you no favors on your demo.

And Laphroaig is basically peat in a bottle. It’s good once in a while, but not as a daily drinker. Hehehe.

I pair “peaty” whiskey with sweet sipping rums/bourbons…it reminds me of bacon covered chocolate… or maple covered bacon

Thanks everyone for the pictures and impressions. For those of us who couldn’t attend it’s a godsend.

That bottle of syrup is from Costco and Trader’s Joe has his own version. Really good.

And I believe you, my number one point yesterday was to check the ZMF’s, in them I was genuinely interested , the others headphones, Utopia, Heddphone. Abyss, etc, was just curiosity.
For somebody checking the closed back family I’m sure it was ok, but not for the open back. I could hear and follow some of the conversations behind me. They had 8 or 9 stations for listening at the same time that make easily 12 to 14 people waiting in the room plus the representatives.
I’m completely ignorant about hard liquors, wine is my limit for alcohol degree, but that on the picture was the first I was able to drink some. I do like the smell, but not the taste…the syrup un the second picture is addictive by the way😉

Thank you to everyone who shared photos and your impressions!

Later start this morning as I spent most of the night texting back and forth with my sister because she had to take my father to the ER. He’s doing okay but I’m tired this morning haha.

Starting off with the SR1a

Well that was my first time listening to the SR1a and I get what the hype is about. I’m engulfed in sound and it’s lovely.

Trying out the MEST now. So far like it better than the Mason V3+. Not as resolving but more dynamic and musical to me which I prefer.

Sorry to hear that. Praying for your father.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
