It’s a shame you’re experiencing that.

I’ve not seen anything like it, and I have a pretty extensive Roon setup with a large number of end-points, and a core that winds up serving DSP and EQ to many of them, multiple different simultaneous streams, from three separate sources.

I’ve been a Roon subscriber from the start, and other than an issue a couple of years ago where a macOS update stopped Roon from accessing external volumes, and the recent switch to requiring certified devices, it’s been extremely smooth sailing.

I can’t recall ever having to restart an endpoint unless it was as a result of an un-certified device that had borked it’s connection to one (and then it was just Chord’s Poly/2Go stuff). Letting the OS and Roon update themselves seems to be as much of a “restart” as has ever been necessary.

I prioritize beautiful equipment as much as I do good sound!

Often, I’ll take something that’s beautiful but sounds slightly worse over something that’s ugly but sounds slightly better.

I am a bass head. I love to play Röyksopp’s Bounty Hunter loud!

But I also love my Grados, and think the 325i was a terrific set of headphones. I gave them away to my stepson only because I had acquired the RS1, which to my ears sounded identical, but which were lighter on the head since they were made of wood.

AND I am a snob, and love the looks on people’s faces when they ask about my iem cables “are they … silver?” (Yes they are!)

D. All of the above, plus a spicy dash of pepper spray.

It is possible to present that post as an actual poll.

Lookit them yoyos; this is how you do it.
  • Poll choice 1
  • Poll choice B
  • Shut up @Pennstac
  • OMG, I could have made a poll
  • Why me?
  • I sold Bigfoot my Sundara

0 voters

And to control violent/aggressive foodie friends & relatives – “Ghost-Pepper Spray”

That ain’t workin, that’s the way you do it… what the heck happened to poll choice C ?

I was going to ask where “you play the guitar on MTV” went. Was that C?

It’s been a few days since I’ve gotten ears on proper cans. I’m waiting for some gear to arrive and subconsciously doing auditory cleanse and fast.

  1. As well intentioned, and practically driven, as my pre-departure audio downsizing is, I still find I am going to be keeping gear that I don’t really use much, if at all.

  2. I have two pending deliveries today; one is for audio gear, the other for fountain pen inks. I am much more excited about the latter than the former.

Pelican? That’s what my wife used to like.

Various … mostly red/black stuff today.

De Atramentis (Black Edition Red Black), Platinum (Cassis Black), Robert Oster (Maroon 1789 and Astorquiza Rot), and so on. And another bottle of the iroshizuku “shin-kai” (a blue/black by Pilot).
