Hey all!

I am a bit late to the party, but I am looking to get some Porta Pros, and was just curious if the Drop version sounds different, than the other versions? I am sure this has been said, but I am being lazy.

Thanks for your time!

Wes

Note that Hatchimals are hard to photo when turned on, and they are capable of walking off with your headphones.

Drop is the same as the standard Porta Pro. Only problem is that they won’t ship until May.

thank you for the warning David!

I´m kind of a wildlife photographer in my fantasy - somehow get the winning shot with passion and time

As David pointed out, it’s the same with the exception of the cable and color way.

The least expensive is the all black, and most expensive being the Special Editions in gold, or beige.

Cable and color way are the only differences.

Cool! I actually like the all black the best, so that works out it is the cheapest! I just bought a pair, and will have them tonight. Now, to get some Yaxi pads. . .

Anyone know, who has the quickest shipping on the Yaxi pads? I am thinking of ordering them straight from Yaxi, unless someone has a better place to buy them?

Thanks for your time!

I bought mine from Amazon (Yaxi is the seller).

Took about a week if I remember correctly.

Cool! Thanks for the quick reply.

I think they ALL come from YAXI by Japan Post. My box also took about a week, although they say it’ll be a month.

It’s nice to see the Porta Pros getting as much love as ever.

When I got mine, I thought they sounded very good for the money but nothing exceptional, so they have been living on my desk as my conference call headset.

However, I have found many times that when the call is over, I end up going back to listening to music and never think about swapping back to the other headphones I have within arms reach.

Definitely an easy listening headphone.

I just finished a little “write up/review” of the DFC. It’s nearly as much of a Porta Pro review as it is for the DFC.

For anyone interested.

My 11 year old nephew (great grandnephew, if we’re being precise), Mason, just auditioned the wireless and special edition (black/gold) wired Koss Porta-Pros. He picked the wired, saying he already has a wireless headphone and it’s a pain when he forgets to turn them off and they run down.

He picked Red and Blue YAXI pads just like you. With a black spare. This is a birthday gift.

His comment: WOW! These sound GOOD.

Then he proceeded to talk my ear off at lunch about movies, NASCAR, muscle and sports cars.
