Yeah I decided the btr5 is not worth it for the gym and phone calls lol, I went through the same thing for a day then just ordered the btr3.

Thank you. Sometimes these abbreviations lose me.

Maybe I need to start a TLA thread.

Three Letter Acronym

That would be helpful!

NiBL was one that threw me off for a bit till I asked. @TylersEclectic explained that one, but I honestly think it would be helpful for newcomers, if you were serious.

Iā€™ve always been a proponent of just typing things out. It just avoids the confusion from the get-go.

Besides, we all know nibl = Non-Interest Bearing Liabilities.

ā€¦

ā€¦ Ok, what is nibl?

The latter. You want to avoid the former. I think.

NiBL is my created acronym for the Nano iFi Black Labelā€¦ it was a joke because it is so smallā€¦ and ā€œnibbleā€ size lol I came up with it in my review of the NiBL

But, I am a hypocrite as I also prefer spelled out namesā€¦ but sometimes itā€™s a pain when Iā€™m on my phone lol

Never even heard of that one before. Fun useless fact, a nibble is 4 bits, which is named because itā€™s half of a byte, which is 8 bits. Small indeed. Nano small.

your NiBL always reminds me of nipple as the german word for them is nippel - one can have worse associations

Ok, now that weā€™ve established that @TylersEclectic likes to play with his nippel, and @metal571 likes the nibbels, I think Iā€™ll leave them to it and go listen to my Koss.

The link below should be to an Excel sheet for TLAs and FLAs that Iā€™ve started.
Please help. When it gets long enough and funny enough, I will post it here.

Very cool. If I think of or come across any, Iā€™ll add them to the spreadsheet.

Iā€™m sure iFi Micro also has one, Mimbi or something like that.

I added a few. :+1:t4:

Very usefull - I use LRF all the time and as non native speakerā€¦ will implement the ā€œgungnirā€ in my everyday life now that I finally know what these 3 letters mean

Question to annoying audio salesman in a box store like Best Buy - Does this have LRF support?

I just made up the Gungnir interpretation of OMG. Too much time on the Schiit website.

Replacing PortaPros after whatā€¦how many years? I used them with a Sony Discman. Canā€™t find the PortaPros, or the Discman.

So I got inspired. However a tale of Woe. I missed the last ā€œMassā€ Drop at $39. Went to the Koss site. They had a 15% coupon for first time. Went to order Sunday - after ordering a sent of all color Yaxi Pads on Amazon or whereverā€¦

Sooooo. -I get No Promo Code after registering FOUR TIMES tried. Sent email inquiry THREE TIMES, nothing. Not in spam. I did get a note when registering, and had to click to verify address. So they took my ID info but nada.

I wanted to get the iPhone one for me, and a couple of basic ones with mics for some gifts for kids. Finally I called this afternoon - about the same time that DROP announced a new run and pre-order. This time $38, expected May 15. Oh well. My grand-nephew will have to wait, and wonā€™t have a black and gold model. $59 less 15% is way more than Dropā€™s $38, and Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll find someone to gift a 2nd set to.

Ordered 2 cheapies from Drop, and ordered the iPhone ones for me from Koss with a manually applied promo code for 15%. Color me one of the flock. Iā€™ll probably like them better with my phone than the 1More Triple Driver IEMs. (Although my wife says when I insert an IEM, she canā€™t see daylight through the other ear.
