I guess I shall introduce myself here. Iāve been lurking on forums for a while but mostly watch all YouTube audio related videos in existence in my free time. I guess Iām relatively new to the audiophile hobby or how you like to call it. Iāve been collecting a few decent headphones to this point and currently I am looking into building some on my own.
I am a student in electrical engineering in Germany which will probably lead me to building my own amps in the future.
Thank you!
Hello and welcome @Ateno.
Got a question for you guys. Iāve been trying to make a new post in the General IEM section of the site but for some reason the ānew postā button seems to be greyed out and unavailable. Any idea what the issue might be? I appreciate it.
Welcome to this weeks new members, enjoy !
This site has kind of a tiered access system. It sounds like you havenāt worked through all of the tutorials and activities that will unlock more access.
Yes, what @NickZ said. A few postings and comments speeds the permissions. You may be able to post your ānewā post as a REPLY to something similar. The idea is to encourage conversation by adding to existing threads rather than to proliferate new ones.
Thanks for adding me. Iām new to this hobby but Iām really enjoying it even though my wallet isnāt. The people here are really knowledable.
Welcome!

Hey!
Ninjapirate here (ninjapirate9901 on Head-Fi/Reddit/IG), figured I should stop in and check out what all the cool kids are up to. Iāll be honest, I donāt even think this forum was around (?) when I snuck out of the hobby a few years ago.
But now, thanks to the insane SRAF lads⦠I guess Iām back. As a moderator of /r/headphoneporn, Iāll try my best to contribute more filthy pictures for the community
Welcome! Yeah you and DenFi inspired a lot of my jumping into photography glad you jumped on over here lol⦠also SRAF gang!! insert secret SRAF handshake here
Welcome. How does @TylersEclectic know the secret handshake of the Saudi Royal Air Force? Or is that the Social Revolutionary Anarchist Federation? (I know, I know, the difference is in the placement of the fourth finger.)
Seriously though, I know SRAF is, in fact an auditory reference: Multiparametric auditory receptive field organization across five cortical fields in the albino rat - PubMed
Howdy folks!
Iām a budding audiophile from Dallas, TX (well, a suburb of Dallas). Iāll admit, I was referred to the storefront by some folks that had a great experience. Browsed the forums a bit and found some great info!! Trying to get to trusted 2 to post some questions about my setup, but I digress. Iāll wrap with saying as someone new to the hobby aka sinkhole that is audiophile, I greatly appreciate the candor and non-schill/toxicity of the forum.
Thanks yāall and looking forward to having fun and learning just how much I donāt know!
Hello and welcome @Converge96, @ninjapirate, @Morgrim, @Kishimotosan, @Volatile_Liquid and @soldford.
Welcome to all this weeks new members.
Thanks, Paul. I joined so I could buy something off the ābuy/sellā page, but I think Iāll stick around for a while.
Your site looks like an interesting mix of music enthusiasts, gearheads & nerds. So, I am home⦠steve o
Hi Steve, I tried clicking the little circle next to the beer mug so I could select it for breakfast this morning, but it doesnāt seem to work. @Pennstac ā
