Yes, welcome back @guigou.
Welcome @guigou!
Welcome Back @guigou I am on the search currently for closed back headphones right now too for similar reasons as you were!
I think youāre right. I havenāt spent that much time with the LCD-X, but from what I can remember the difference seemed to be in the lower portion of the midrange and slightly more energy in the lower end in general. Not more details or more articulate just slightly more presence or more weight which I think was what I was missing in the LCD-X
Hopefully I will be better at explaining sound differences with a bit of practice
I am far from an expert, but I can try to help you based on what I have heard so far.
There was a good topic on this forum about closed-back headphones, but I was quite surprised nobody mentioned the LCD-XC at any point.
Hi there, nameās kevin, Iām from Ohio, mostly IEM guy. Currently rocking Elex for headphones,

Hey everyone! Iād like to formally introduce myself here. I mainly write content on headfi and go by the alias āTorankuā, or ātorkā sometimes (not to be confused with torq!) I mainly write and discuss about IEMs but I do have a bit of exposure to headphones as well.
I am a CIEM guy - theyāre just so light, comfortable and isolating. Headphones donāt really do it for me in the physical factor but I can appreciate good sound still
My friend @antdroid introduced me to this forum. From what Iāve been reading, this seems like a very nice place to discuss about audio! Excited to share and discuss audio with everyone here.
Cheers!
Hi @khedspeth and @toranku - welcome to our wholesome little forum. Really excited to have you all here.
Folks - toranku is one of my favorite reviewers for IEMs. His opinions are fresh, concise and really well articulated and informative.
Welcome, Kevin!
Welcome, Toranku! It is a pretty friendly place. Glad youāre here.
Welcome Kevin and Toranku!
Really seems like so! Been reading this forum for an hour. Trying my best to contribute to the IEM side of things
Thank you for the warm welcome!
Welcome @toranku!
Welcome @Kandhi!
