Well yes, even more my new 1950s Of course the source is much more important, but to me i can’t listen to the Cayin (now T01) without these cables. I also have the Dragonfly Cobalt ( blue ), and the stock cable Ares II on my Legend X sound just fine… because, the Cobalt is not as complex as the Cayin. I know a guy that prefer the 1960s on is Fourté, but the 1950s is better on the LX. By the way, i try many expensive cables before jumping on the 1950s.
How’s the battery life ? I sold my Sp1000m because it was really bad… All Around the Cayin N6ii was much better.
Not bad but could be better. I say I’m getting about 6 to 7 hours but didn’t buy it for the battery. It sounds gorgeous!
Have you tried the Empire Ears Wraith yet, Tyler?
I’m curious to which of those IEMS holds more weight due to both the Tia and Wraith having gigantic price points.
no…to be honest I’m not a big IEM guy… but these have me enthralled enough to want to sell my other IEMs and get a set… I’m actually waiting to hear the UMM that @Torq has though… as I’ve found that if he likes something I probably will also lol
Okay. Very cool. Yeah I just recently turned the IEM corner late last year. Experienced the IO first, then sold them to get the Atlas’s and what a big leap that was for me. Have a profound and new respect for what a proper IEM can do, so no wonder your enthralled with the TIA’s. I hear their amazing and even better than my Atlas’s.
You and Torq got a pretty good handle on all things cool in audio, so I am guessing you’ll try those mega Wraith’s soon.
when it comes to IEMs I defer to our resident expert @antdroid we don’t quite match up on preference for sound signature, but close enough that if he likes something I have no doubt I would also.
@Torq I think I have a closer shared preference to sound signature, but once again we are all different. But, I also usually can blind buy based on his recommendations as well.
I’ve never really connected with the color scheme of the OG Fourte but it sure looks great there.
I’ve had the same issue when I first saw pictures of them but then they grew on me, they go well with the copper SP2k.
Are they worth the hefty prices?
The U12t is imho and the Fourté albeit crazy good are still overpriced and they’re not for everybody - some don’t dig the tuning, I enjoy it very much! For that kind of money I would buy a Focal Utopia instead and if you need decent SQ on the move, there are a ton of cheaper options available.
Edit: I think the Tia Trio is a better buy at the moment with their 30% discount (final price is ~$1600).
Yeah I saw the discount and had to remove my right hand from the mouse by force with my left hand…
I was soooooo close to push that “buy” button
I pictured it.
Audiophile life struggles…discounts can be evil!
Not at all. It’s a minimum of what’s needed on the go
