that picture makes the tube box look yuuuuge
Today is a tube theme! Received another package, this one is more of a care package courtesy of @hazi59.
He even included thorough notes regarding the tubes! Thank you so much.
@pennstac Congrats bro! I hope you like them! I just got mine today as well! Super Awesome. Welcome to the gang!
@dncnexus
You next @TylersEclectic
congratulations on this brilliant looking headphone, David!
we don´t mind watching another B2, so let´s celebrate it! - I am, at least, happy for you!
so cool of Hazi, to put his notes on the tubes with in the package!
Definitely. I really appreciate it! I’m looking forward to trying them out soon.
I’m sure you’ve seen these come out of the box dozens of times here so no big deal right? But it’s a huuuuge deal to me. This is a major step up in price from the AKG K712 PRO and Hifiman Sundara that I’m currently listening to. In fact I’ve never spent this much on a single piece of audio equipment before. The only way I justify this indulgence to myself is because you only live once, I’m turning 50 in two weeks, and my hearing ain’t getting any better.
Is this my “endgame” headphone? Probably… for now. Every review I’ve read or watched indicates it is. It certainly won’t be the last pair of headphones I buy, but I think my focus will most likely switch to amps and DACs now. There needs to be a balance in The Force after all.
So it is with much excitement, but also some trepidation that I open this box:
An homage to ProfFalkin’s “In The Chair” series
Apple level of presentation
Complete with balanced cable. I guess now I need a balanced amp. It never ends…
So far so good!
Full impressions writeup in a few weeks. Merci beaucoup, taronlissimore, for answering all of my questions and the personal service!
Great presentation. Especially the chair homage.
That chair looks very comfortable! Congrats on the Clears!
I don’t know the chair is missing something…maybe it needs a different pattern
Because internet: I’m joking and referencing @ProfFalkin chair in his unboxing pics
congratulations on the Clears! - stop here and never look sideways! - it´s not to late
very nice pictures and chair
Purchased these after eyeing them for awhile.
So far I’ve paired them with the Nextdrive Spectra X out of my Samsung Note 10+ and also the Mytek Liberty with an iFi Audio IEMatch and I’ve been loving them. Took a bit to figure out what tip is best.
Great stuff. Always wanted to try these myself. Though I have heard mixed reactions to it. Always best to hear them yourself though. So, congratulations.
Absolutely. Thank you. These have been of interest to me for awhile. I’ve been wanting an IEM I could use as a reference to other higher priced gear and so far these seem like possible candidates for the job. We shall see when it comes time for the review.
as addition to the Logi MX Vertical mouse…
now the MX Keys keyboard incl the memory foam handrest thing
my wife unboxed it this morning, while I am at the office.
So she connected the keyboard in a few seconds to the already plugged in(in PC USB port) MX vertical mouse dongle(cool to have the mxkeys dongle spare for our notebook) in the Logitech options software and took a pic for me. - sorry for the low angle and to close ultrawide iPhone camera shot - but you get the idea.
she told me it feels nice to use, like better quality over the wired 80bucks Fujitsu keyboard, which was okish and gets replaced with the MX keys.
The adjustable backlight thing is new to her - it switches automatically on, the moment you touch the keyboard or are close to it - have to try it myself in the next days…
ordered 2 display-stands with cable management and they should arrive next monday - so we can put the RME/789 stack under the 27inch, while the other DAC/AMP gets under the second display.
the wired vertical anker mouse and the wired keyboard cables are finally gone, which is a win, because she was longtime not into spending cash for wireless stuff, while the wired stuff worked.
So slowly we get there … just need to find a solution to eliminate the wireless power pad, she likes to use
would love to build the wireless phone charger non-visible into the desk - saw some diy videos - but motivation is like zero atm. maybe in the winter time…
next step is some loudspeaker stands for the (frontported) KEFs - this is going to free some space on the desk! - hope the imaging/staging is going to stay as nice, the moment the speakers get positioned more far out from the center
I didn’t find this thread until recently, so I didn’t take a picture when I first got this, but I’ve reassembled the packaging to the best of my ability.
Please excuse my poor photo taking skills.
Image 1(this requires a bit of your imagination): A small-ish brown cardboard box.
Image 2(this, again, requires a bit of your imagination): A small-ish brown cardboard box with its top cut open to show the Aeon 2 logo
Image 3(this thankfully does not require your imagination): below
congratulations on the AEON C2
I really did like it´s sound a lot as I auditioned it! and comfort plus transportability is unmatched
with a red “racing” knob and these (similar to some ifi DAC/Amps) switches! - what´s not to love about the design?!
