This is the Ampsandsound manufacturer explanation. I bought it mostly for a natural XLR to RCA conversion.

I wonder how they differ against the ones used in pro studios? 
Take this one, for instance, with Jensen transformers.

Not sure how it works exactly. A&S Justin Weber makes good stuff. Most of his later model Encores incorporate the black box input transformers within the amp itself.

Damn I got the 1:1 from Jensen directly but this is price much higher… hopefully tho it’s got the better Lundahl transformers, the Jensen product works tho it’s a little soft

Geek Out v2+ Infinity! I own the original non + which is the same circuit minus the middle gain option, but the Company as you guys know is dead so support is non existent I believe. I’ve also not heard a better portable Dac/Amp for $300 [Price I paid for this one and the original one got back in like 2017]
So I’ve been wanting a back up and holy smokes! This thing is SO much nicer in person!!! An it weighs a TON super heavy. A shame the company went under and what Larry did to his customers 
hopefully tho iFi [or some one] will come out with something better than Micro iDSD that can finally overtake the sound quality of this little gem!

If they used lundahl transformers there would be nothing left over for profit. On speculation parts cost about 30-40% of retail which is not bad. Mine has cinemag transformers inside which would cost us $150 for 2 plus $50 for the chassis. Lundahl input transformers cost about $100-150 each and you need two of them. Using those a company would have to charge much more than $450 to keep a roof over their head.

once with Magnius, Its kinda there for IF I need it
but the transformer it self isn’t perfectly transparent so I dont find a need to use it honestly
