Just arrived first A/B class 2.1 channel receiver 100w per channel, I have in for review with my 2.1 channel setup from Cambridge Audio, Schiit Vidar is incoming for comparison thanks to @TylersEclectic for selling me one for my system! Let the 2.1 channel speaker, amp, pre-amp and subwoofer reviews begin!
Something I’ve been excited to try for a while. Dunu was kind enough to send this over for evaluation.
Where can I buy a black & white lava lamp? I need one badly.
I got one for you, very special price
Love getting a toy to put together after Christmas.
Will be attempting a few different audio based distros. RoPieee, PiCorePlayer, MooDe, Volumio, VitOS.
I almost bought a Pi several times, but then recalled all my hours with MS-DOS, WIndows, MacOS, OS/2, Linux (x10 versions), BeOS, Commodore VIC 20 & 64, Apple II, Berkeley Unix, DEC VAX OS, IBM’s mainframes, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. All computers are modular today (versus parts-bin horrors in the old days), and I’ve lost the motivation.
I’m not positive this is a project that will stick, but am frustrated at the state of streaming, and wanted to see if the grass was greener on the other side.
Worst case scenario I wind up up with a video game emulator, right?
Don’t know about sound but it’s nice to see a simple, slick looking IEM.
Hey!!! I have that key set!!!
Can’t let @antdroid have all the IEM fun. Can’t wait to read what you write about them.
This is definitely one to get hyped about.
@Resolve Get Hyped for my polarizing review of Empy ?!
We’re all contrarians in the headphone world haha
Are we doing that again? Im ready, I missed the most recent amusements.
LMAO
Don’t you really want to GREP anymore? Don’t seem to miss EMACS, much less EDLIN. Not PINEing away? And how did you go from VIC 20 and C64 without hitting AMIGA or Atari ST? And BeOS, but no NEXTStep? I never had to VAX, but did use a DEC Rainbow.
We could print stickers to cover logos on laptops:
“My other computer is an 8086 with a dedicated math co-processor.”
Hey @TylersEclectic, did you forget that we talked about my buying your Vidars?
yeah… I did… =( I’m sorry… I’m looking at just keeping one… for some speakers…
Hey I can PERL, PYTHON, Shell Script & Command Line in Windows to break a tech’s heart. I have a PI on my radar for the coming year. Gotta’ have something computer to tinker with.
