What's in the box!

The version 1 is like the Susvara not focusing on a consumer who’s a bass head. When they released the Adorama Edition you can instantly tell the market they where going for. The new HE-6 was closest to the original. I put 18 watts into the se v1 and was not greeted with more bass. If you like the HE-6 sound look at the new one from Adorama if bass is needed.

I’m virtually running the V12 for the HE6, 25.5 dB and from my research on a couple reviews mentioned if you want great dynamics or whatever the best sound. Don’t recall reasoning behind it. Hence my name.

Also a nice dac with dBu I guess it’s coined for a phenomenal experience or to get the most. Tried to hit all those check marks

Good example on the DAC I have the Chord Hugo TT2 produces a lot of bass vs my Cipher from Wells Audio that is neutral.

Makes sense, that’s the 4 screw one right?

Wasn’t trying to buy HiFiman without a warranty, I’ve heard quality issues with prior units or old HiFiman however you take it.

On the HE6SE thread dude bought it and the driver was bad already I think he said within a short time. I personally can’t afford any issues now until I go back to regular work

I mentioned that I got a large head, I’m a big dude. 6’3 and 240, I’m not getting clamping force that I need. If I use my hands to clamp the headphones onto my head the bass goes up I guess 30% I guess.

I’m going to or need thicker pads to create more clamping, I see those ZMF pads were suggested which greatly increase the sonic performance suggested by a user on here and are thicker than the stock pads

Try clamping it to your head **without ** covering the cups and see if it’s as drastic a change. Just covering the cups with your hands (essentially making it a closed-back) can really change the sound…May not be just the seal. The Arya, being so open, is very susceptible to this. The sound will change if I lay my head back against a pillow.

There’s only one headphone you need and it’s the 1266 no seal required. Will never sell mine to fund a headphone purchase. Works perfectly on the mini. But arm and leg later.

Is that my old amp? Just sold one to someone with a Stratus.

Indeed it is.
Original Cavalli Liqud Gold below the Stratus
Aqua LaVoce S3 hidden below that

Off topic, but from within the Community. @cpp sent his FM2 to a happy new home.

Is that the Diana phi? I was looking and I’m sure those are really nice. I can’t afford anymore on audio. I spent a lot of money the last few months.

I got a 5.1 setup and AVR and also two headphones an amp and a dac. I currently have no income, and I just purchased all of this with money I’ve been saving. Nor do I regret it, I watch movies and listen to music with headphones and stereo for a lot through the day so it works out

Enjoy Mark , its in good hands

No AB1266 phi TC. Didn’t care for the Diana V2 so never took a chance on the phi version.

Nice!!! :star_struck:

Mine is about two years old. it’s the initial se version.

Sehr Gut!

I assume they hit harder than the T5Vs?

Oh no I definitely avoided closing the cups, I just pressed on the outer cup with two fingers on each side and not a skull crushing pressure either. Just to get a really tight seal.

I know it doesn’t sound like much but I think 2 mm extra on each side would get the job done some pads. I liked the ZMF idea cause you put an attachment ring then the pads and that should create a good clamp

Wow his music’s no bad at all. Didn’t know the origin of the picture, thanks

Yep. He’s very talented, a public figure and a well known picture on memes in :brazil:. And a recently upgraded meme for audiophiles worldwide as well. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Cheers. :beers:
