Haha, yeah it’s a heater all right. Unfortunately though it was a good amp, it wasn’t really a clear upgrade so I decided to return the Valhalla.
It’s still a very good OTL that works with lower impedance amps, and it’s a great value. Like most of us, I just want more.

I don’t have an answer to your question. The legacy SE line is being discontinued in favor of the AONIC line. So I took the chance and snagged a SE535 for 40% off.

This guy on eBay is trying to get me to sell him my Manhattan 2 for $2750. I can’t stop rolling. He is trying to tell me they go new on eBay for 3200. Kotec123 telling me that’s not how it works here. Then laughs.

Got this in today from Drop. They got some decent press and were $200 to my door so I figured I’d give them a shot. A tad bright right out of the box but otherwise not too bad. I do like the cable - very silky!
I did think the aluminum plate to hold the inserts was a bit overkill though

It’s very resolving. More sub bass than my bifrost 2 which I wasn’t expecting.
Definitely puts the Sonnet Morpheus on my radar
