I am in the same boat! Gotta keep telling myself I have WAY too many headphones already…
BTW, the Radiance looks way better for sure!
I completely understand too many headphones.
Is the Burson a gaming DAC?
(Edit to add: I actually really like the look of it )
Ooh that clear top with lighting on the Burson looks amazing.
Well it does have a mic input… so … yes/maybe??
The Clear top is for demo/showroom purposes and isn’t available to the public… chill sounding amp… reminds me of a tube hybrid
Whaaat?! I want a clear top on my Soloist…
Which op-amps are in those? Vivids?
One tube amp per headphone channel?
balanced, of course!
I can’t tell from the pic but it looks like two separate amps which would be dual-mono (monblocks).
FYI. Ampsandsound people. Switchcraft make a reasonably priced and quality right angled 1/4” plug! Make yourself a 1/4" to female 4pin XLR
1/4” right angle to 4-pin XLR would be perfect for a lot of amps (I’m thinking bottlehead). How would you do this? I’m not seeing a right angle 1/4” to XLR part, have you been able to find one?
Need a short cable run between the connectors. I’ve used Black/Blue Dragon as I had some. But can use any quad mic cable, or 4 wire braid.
I’ve made a few. Switchcraft just seems to best quality of the options available.
Does the ampsandsound amp have a name yet?
What a great idea. I have right angled everything else but never thought of right angled headphone cable. I’m not a cable maker, so I wonder if Hart would do make one of those as a custom cable.
These adapters work pretty well.
The right angle RCAs from Audioquest are pretty handy on the ampsandsound gear too. Really helps getting away with using a shorter interconnect.
They are a nest solution too. I think the short cable version would have less stress on the plug and amp socket (well not think, it would) if that is a consideration for people.
What power tube is that?
