What's in the box!

now THIS is what I call a stack. looks lovely!

a friend recently finally dipped his toes into audio and he got himself a Z8 DAC on my recommendation (insane way to start, i know) but now at least he shuts up about audio being snake oil and not worth it :joy:

I have been looking at this Eversolo device for some time, but I have a significant question. A couple of articles have said the device has an equalizer (both graphical and parametric), but I see no reference to it in the manual or in the product description on eversolo’s webpage. Does it have the EQ (or, for those looking on, does the DMP-A6)? TIA

Wasn’t looking for yet another amp but when I saw Zach had posted about some resin stabilized Homages took me about 2 seconds to hit buy, given my black and red resin Caldera. Even better it was a discounted show demo which cost quite a bit less than the stock one.

A wonderful symbiosis visually and acoustically, congratulations!

JDS Labs is a very good choice as a headphone amplifier anyway.

Even in this unconventional configuration, EL Amp+ delivers a wonderful sonic solution.

Personally, I think that JDS is a little underestimated and labeled as a cheap solution, which it certainly isn’t in terms of its power and sound.

In the near-field application, it is a very precisely controllable, powerful and very clean-sounding solution that is even able to filter out the sonic differences between various DACs.

Personally, I love this little beast :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: and can very well imagine that the cooperation between JDS Labs and ZMF is an absolute hit.

Very pretty, great combo! It was tough not to jump on one, but I’ve already overworked my audio budget

You missed out Lothar, you could have had an amp to match your Caldera!

I know you want an Aegis though… (as do I) :+1:

Never thought I would be spending more in a earbud than what I paid on my HD 600 a few years ago, and yet here I am. :see_no_evil:

And I heard that you should always keep ZMF headphones in pairs, otherwise they feel lonely and dry out……. :joy:

I am personally not a huge fan of em, but I do think they still have their place within the audiophile niche.
It’s a subjective hobby after all :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And thanks to all those lovely food pictures I am now hungry, curse you

Life with just one headphone/tuning, no matter how PERFECT, would be SO BORING. Viva la variety!

Ohhh nice! How do you like the sound of the Caldera/Homage combo compared with your big boy tubes?

Honestly it’s 50-50 between it and the Envy. The Homage has these nice forward mids and more prominent bass. The bass on the Envy is more textured, but less present even with my most bassy tubes. I’m really surprised about how good it is!
