So this just arrived… Snake oils
Side by side with DHC Symbiote SP V3
Sadly my A12t is not with me now to try them on with since it’s being converted to a universal shell.
And a bit afraid of trying them with the MEST in case the pins bent

Beautiful snake oil. That wood/silver splitter looks amazing
Thanks! It’s actually leather not wood lol, one of the main reason why I like this cable’s aesthetics. Unfortunately the slider they used is plastic which is a bit turn off. It’ll look much better with a metal slider which even their slightly cheaper Cleopatra uses…
For a wood/silver splitter check out Null Audio’s Thera/Hakone series. Their wood splitter & connector looks amazing too. Wouldn’t mind getting one during their sales.
Put them in your MEST you’ll be fine. I’m sure the pins will be good. I would like one of these myself. Lovely setup you have. Enjoy.
Thanks, I did try and the funny thing is the right side pin can go all the way in while the left side couldn’t even move in more than 1mm lol
Why this one?
I am in the market for one myself, but have not found the right one yet.
Oh well. At least you tried. Good luck with them in the future.
I need to be able to print different kinds of polymers including TPU, so I need an FDM printer. I also want to print some largish things and this has a big enough platform. It’s fairly cheap and shipped quickly It doesn’t get universally positive reviews, but it’s popular and there’s a ton of community content on how to use and upgrade it, so there’s a good safety net. Just one example, when looking at Amazon reviews of filament, you’ll often find at least one or two people who’ve tried it with an Ender 3, and often people will have tips on slicer settings for specific filaments with the Ender 3, which I’m hoping will reduce trial and error for me.
Ender’s Game?
Why do we usually lose the little part we need to duplicate? Will you be able to print knock-offs of 3M Versaflo respirator masks for your neighborhood?
Ha, no genocidal savants here! I will probably print some masks, perhaps by this design, but I primarily got it for prototyping parts for the headphones that I’m designing.
These just showed up
Pics of the new headband fully extended for those interested…
These bad boys are HEAVY and BULKY specially when coming from the Susvara! Lol
Too early for impressions on sound but it seems like they live up to the hype…currently having the driver rattling issue on the left side - gotta cook them properly.
They look absolutely huge, hopefully the head band distributes the weight appropriately. Over 600 grams???
Looks like LCD3 has come competition?
Those were cans I was curious about but Im not sure they would fit me. I have to max out the pins on my Auteur for those to be comfortable and noticing that you have a Verite in the background of the pic I am curious if you think they are comparable in terms of what they could accommodate re head size?
Yeah they’re over 600g, they weigh 718g according to their website. They’re way heavier than anything I currently have so it’s been tough to get used to it, only time will tell…Again, because of my current collection, it’s hard for me to say that the headband helps with the weight distribution because I can still feel a pretty chunky and heavy thing on my head. As for the headband extension, as you can see on my pic that’s how I rock the Verite (at the minimum/without any extension whatsoever) and for the HEDDphone I have to extend it half-way, right in the middle of the extension length on both sides to get the most comfortable/least uncomfortable fit with good sound.
I think that LCD users will be fine with the HEDDphone weight and the comfort issue wouldn’t have been as accentuated for me if I didn’t have the Susvara/SR1a (both disappear on my head and the Utopia should added to the list but I sold them), and the VC…I just happen to be used to that level of comfort that anything below that gets easily flagged.
So it does sound like those may be a bit small for me if you are using the Verite at minimal size adjustments. Good to know, thanks for the info. Im cursed with a large head, not great for a headphone guy!!
You’re welcome. Thank you as well.
Looks good…
