It’s a review unit and we only have it for two weeks but I like to pretend that new gear that comes in for my birthday is there for my birthday.

That’s awesome.

My birthday is on Valentines Day (hence my user name), and when I was very little I used to think that all the decorations were for my birthday.

Hope you’re having a great day. :birthday: :tada: :balloon:

First, Happy Birthday!

Second, it’ll be interesting to see what you think of the 3.1 vs. 3.2 Sound-Frames and various amps.

(I’m still enjoying mine immensely).

They only sent the 3.2 for now as Heinz suggested the 3.1’s main use was for tube amps with an output transformer having an output impedance of 10 ohms to 30 ohms. Unfortunately we don’t have enough tube amps around to make the experience wholly satisfying I felt so we went with the 3.2 only.

Haha I often get to share my birthday with Mother’s Day so I can definitely relate!

Oh yes, Deva is a very classy BT headphone. All I want to say is first impressions are good, have only had for a few hours. A very unique and pleasing BT experience so far.

Super awesome!

Congrats and happy bday!

Having had both, I think you have the right one.

Even with my tube amps with, or without, output transformers, I liked the 3.2 better (I’m sure there are some amps that pair better with the 3.1).

While I will admit the fit is a bit goofy on them (didn’t have them on backwards this time like your SR1a!) they sound great. I was just running them through an Earmen Donald DAC into a RNHP to see how they would perform on a relatively budget setup and I’m coming away very impressed. It did take a while to get the the flaps positioned properly but once I got them where I wanted I really understood why people love these things.

@Resolve is currently holding all of our other solid states hostage so after I free them I’ll be able to run the gamut of amps.

They are. That’s exactly why they are there. How could you think differently now? Someone’s been funnin’ you, Valentine Luke. They even named a day after you.

No, not Lukeday.

That’s some gorgeous glass right there!!

What made you choose EML versus other options, just curious?

Price was main reason. Heard they are good and I am liking the sound vs the Stock EH gold. Sound is more three dimensional. I was looking at KR 2A3 but woo wanted 2500 these were a 1000 less. I’m waiting for the driver and rectifier tubes from woo to come in.

Im glad you are liking the sound with them. Tubes can be a bit of a crap shoot.

Wow, those are some big tubes. I didn’t realise how big they get.

Is that just for a tube? Phew. I don’t know much about tubes at all. But I didn’t know they got that expensive. I know nothing.
