Yeah I really enjoy the Verite off the mz3. It may be my favorite over the Stellia. And yeah it hits, because if it didn’t I wouldn’t be a fan, but at the same time it’s pulling all the detail out if the track. Really nice.

‘Treasure Globe 6SN7-SE’ (GF Limited Special Edition). Grant Fidelity is a distributor for Psvane and Shuguang. This tube is supposed to be the top of the line for tubes made today. In a fit of drunken madness I clicked the PayPal buy button.

I only have one tube to consider on the Lyr 3, and I know that as a hybrid, it should only make a minor difference. “Danger, Will Robinson” if you have several tubes and fall down rabbit holes, you should not click the above link.
Anyway, I thought it looked cool, and if it makes the Lyr 3 sound better, that’s cool too. Right now I’m just letting it cook a bit. Later tonight I try listening to something.

Well I didn’t take pictures of the box but got these and some sweet purple Yaxi pads for them… I may have a problem when I buy a headphone just for the purple pads I can get with them lol

Only a few minutes listening to this so far, and I’m already certain I’ll have no regrets. Hooked up the usual chain - TIDAL on iPad to iFi xDSD in line out to the Lyr 3 to Senn HD-6xx. That’s my evaluation chain. Flipped through a few selections, then settled on the TIDAL MASTER version of Tina Turner’s Foreign Affairs album.
OK, I’m not doing an AB. The tube is barely used - has about 6 hours on it. But I think there is a noted opening up of the sound. (Placebo effect?) I’m not switching back to any of the other tubes I’ve tried. Soundstage seems very natural, better than when I last listened to this with the same chain and the Sylvania - labeled “Bad Boy”.

I’m not a tube expert, but I have GE NOS tubes in my STAX amp, and @spritzer thinks they’re pretty good.
