You had an axis lock fail? Woah-- I’ve never heard of that. That said, I’ll of mine are 5+ years old, so I can’t speak to recent manufacturing. I’d probably lean towards a PM2 if I was starting again, but I’ve spent too long learning dumb axis lock tricks, to the point they are as fast to deploy as automatics (which are super illegal in Canada).

here in germany the same - you can´t import an automatic - that is a good thing
legal is my UKPK - the others, I would have to transport in a closed box … no one controls that
I have just spent over a month with a constant fever, not too high but over 38ºC (100.4ºF) every day for over 4 weeks got to the point of driving me crazy. The first 2 and a half weeks I was still working and 8 hours per day in front of a computer screen with a fever completely fried my brain. I was then lucky that I started my 2 week vacation, but unlucky that most of that was also spent with a fever, so not very enjoyable for the family with me laid on the sofa all day!
During this time I could not bring myself to even try to listen to music, I just wanted silence (which is difficult with a 9 month baby).
Finally I got over it last week and started back at work this Monday. I was too busy to even turn on my amp until today, so I am now finally surrounded by music. I put new tubes in the P20, pulled out the HD6XX and am listening to some very nice relaxing piano music!

@MartinTransporter, I did make (too many) visits to the doctor and it was caused by a Cytomegalovirus which is very common and most people don’t realize they even had it (just a sore throat for a few days) but in extreme cases it can cause fever for a couple of weeks. I thought I would go one better and double the dose

remembered the “Pygmy glandular fever” - also knocked out my wife for many weeks and came back for months again and again in her twens - similar… “outbrake” is very uncommon …

Huh…this makes sense, as my wife, daughter and myself were messed up for like a month each at varying times…(wife is the last and still having symptoms, daughter was first…) this actually explains more than what our doctor said… I.E. you have a virus it will go away thank you for coming… lol… she was much nicer than this but essentially said that

Back from deepest, darkest, Peru …
(There’s a UK-centric spectacled-bear reference in there somewhere).
Managed to get connectivity at least once a day, sometimes by satellite, so as to not let @taronlissimore get ahead of me in “days visited”. This is particularly bizarre given that some of those days involved drinking mountain-stream water via a Grayl and a Steripen.
Between the wife and I we managed more than 1,000,000 steps in-country.
Pushing 5,000 pictures taken.
Over 70,000 feet in total on-foot elevation gain (going back down and up again, of course). Peak was at 16,000 ft or so.
Lost 20+ lbs on the trip, without getting sick, due to the wonderful food and very high exercise load.
Met 6 other couples from Seattle, including 3 on the “Andean Explorer” (out of 18 people total on that train … talk about being spoiled!).
Only one person on our Nazca Lines flight got sick, despite the (excellent) pilot’s best effort to induce nausea.
Food, especially the flavors, was fantastic. I might be addicted to Peruvian seasonings/spices. Though on a general basis the beef was VERY tough. Fortunately guinea pigs are delicious (if a pain in the arse to eat, with very little actual meat on them), and Alpaca is also pretty bloody tasty.
Tacama winery was a nice treat.
People were generally lovely.
Excepting a few spots in Lima, it’s one of the calmest, safest, feeling places I’ve ever visited. And, excepting a few (different) spots in Lima … Lima is generally a bit of a shit hole (where it is pretty/old it is stunning, but where it isn’t it’s, well, a shit hole … even in the nicest areas like Baranco and Miraflores).
Parque Kennedy (the cat-park) was addictive … so many cute kitties!
Not a country you can easily get by in if you only speak English.
Did a ton while there, including many cities and villages, more archaeological sites than I can count, tours everywhere, but Machu Picchu (and the Inca Trail) was easily the highlight and was well worth the trip all on its own.
Did not feel anything like three weeks in-country. Might have felt like three-weeks yesterday while getting home (flights home always feel longer).

Playing catch-up on my audio-hobby reading …
Highlights so far are:

A self-proclaimed “advanced audiophile” and “gear expert” that is unable to comprehend that his “RME ADI-2 DAC sounds distorted” because he’s playing it at +19 dBu into a consumer amp and is clipping the amp’s input stage. And then refuses to lower the output level to fix this since the DAC is just “an ear bleeder”.

A new tube-amp user that is complaining that the tubes are hot to the touch. One wonders what thought process was (or was not) going on with regards to the visible, red-hot metal, somehow being NOT hot to the touch. And further, why they feel compelled to have to touch them in the first place …

A “reviewer” proclaiming that they have a better headphone rig than any home user … when what they’re using is straight of off Drop.com and not even the best products in their class nor from the manufacturers involved let alone the best available (and that’s sticking to purely objective evaluations).
Glad there’s a bit more sanity and common sense around here.

do you use ND filters for your drone shots?
I do plan on but I’m still in research mode
I own ND filters but didn’t use them on this flight. The launch location was narrow and slanted, and I’d already walked a long way in the wrong direction before finding a good spot. This was a hand launch and hand landing so I wanted to keep it simple.
Also, filters weren’t needed for the early morning shady areas near the water (every flight is about compromises). This region is very hazy and humid so it’s tough to get blue skies in panoramic shots when there’s any degree of contrast with foliage or earth.
The first and last shots were from my routine “go high and rotate” initial overview sequence. I took video too, and this is just a small sample from a 20 minute flight.

Yes it is often hard even with a few bracketing shots and dng’s
would you recommend any filter set to me? I look it up myself, to check if it fits.

My filter knowledge is out of date – I bought them a couple years ago and doubt the manufacturer is still around. Many filters are from some random Chinese company-of-the-month. Given the small lenses on most drones and the degree of digital processing they use, your mileage may vary. If buying today I’d start with a cheaper set to see how well it works on your particular drone, and the level of darkening you desire. Then upgrade later.

Haha that is exactly, what I try to skip - color shifts or weak optical performance
even my wife told me to get some filters and she hates it, when I start changing them.
But it’s obvious on pictures, less in video mode - here the sun in front of the cam (single shot, no pano) and it gets mehh
these sensors need help in some situations, like shutter speeds have to come down
The dng’s fall apart far quicker with the slightest changes in the RAW Converter as one is used to from bigger sensors
